ok, the chronological order of the latest posts came out all wrong. But here's the story: as most of you know, there's a blog named Slutever, written by a wonderful, boldly talented and luscious young woman named Karley Sciortino. A friend of the band SALEM contacted me on facebook and recommended Karley's blog. Ever since then, I have become an avid reader, then I became an avid re-reader. Then I became an avid re-re-reader. By now i've lost count of how many times I've read the hilarious and enlighting adventures of this whorish yet sensitive girl. Basically, all through the summer, I spent two hours every night reading Slutever before falling asleep. I used to fantasize about talking to Karley, just merely getting in touch with her. Being friends, hanging out, getting her approval on things like drawings and sex acts. A boy can only dream.
As weeks passed, I started to realize that I actually feel something for Karley. You know, I CARE about her. I feel warm cozy things inside when I read her. Kind of when I realized how I cherished Beyoncé. I'm serious about this.
Then one night, (mark the following words, for they are true) JUST AS I WAS TYPING THE URL FOR SLUTEVER on my browser, I get a private message on FB and lo and behold, it was Karley!!! :D
So, basically, she asked me if she could interview me for her blog!!!! omg how cosmic and totally cool is that?? being a whore on facebook is certainly proving fruitful for me.

My YouTube account has been temporarily suspended.
Like, first, someone reported Pearl Beam 1. and YouTube sent me a warning. Then, someone reported Pearl Beam 2.
And now my account has been suspended of some privileges until Sept. 16th
But, does anyone remember that I first uploaded Pearl Beam 1 and 2 to Xtube? and they got deleted there too. Obviously, they wouldn't have been deleted from Xtube unless someone reported them as inappropriate and the system deletes them automatically until the user appeals the report. Which I didn't. Then I uploaded them on YouTube as unlisted, meaning that whoever reported Pearl Beam 1, must've been someone who found the link to the video on the interview Karley Sciortino wrote on PLATFORM. I don't think any random reader of PLATFORM would've found my video so offensive as to need to have it deleted. Then, weeks later when Karley posted the interview on Slutever, this time with Pearl Beam 2, it got deleted too. But only after I posted the link to Slutever on my facebook.

My point is: whoever is reporting these videos, is someone who knows me personally or at least on Facebook. Someone is out to get me!!!
I don't give a shit, you hear me? you're most likely overweight and a racist and someone who clearly lusts after my glitter-covered booty from afar and someone who clearly has no values nor do you ever listen to Beyoncé. You disgust me.

Terence posted something as his FB status, I can't recall what. As usual, his fans/Fb friends, who mostly seem to be the kind of people who "intervene" their clothes by ripping them and smearing them in neon-coloured oil paint while jacking off to photos of Björk holding her daughter, commented profusely.
"I love you Terence, but I kinda hate your fans" I wrote.
Then, like 5 days later, I got two FB e-mails from T. saying that my comment made him so happy. And then adding that it "really was the nicest thing anyone has said to me in like forever"
So, I guess you could say we're pretty much soulmates by now, huh?
I thought of creating a group on Facebook named "I love Terence Koh but I hate his fans" whose only allowed members would be myself and Terence. But I decided against it because it would've caused him trouble with his hordes of facebook fans.
Since I didn't know what to say to aknowledge his reply, I decided to let someone else choose the words for me. And who better than the very eloquent, deceased (ok, I know she's not really dead, but her career is, whatever), divorced, horsely canadian Alanis Morissette!

Pearl Beam

Wow, I shall FINALLY post about this double piece I've been working on now and then since like, April. The final edits of the video are ready and online, and at last I took some photos of the sculpture.
So, I was asked to create two pieces dealing with "texture", it is weird, but the idea for this dual piece came to me completely spontaneously while riding on the bus. I decided to alter the texture of an object, and tape it so that I would have a physical piece, dealing with texture on a tangible level, and a video piece, in which, by digital editing i would somehow deal with texture in a purely visual manner (which is, of course, another way of saying I was too lazy to create a different piece and so I had to justify the video as an art piece dealing with texture) (which, in a way, it does, since it has several visual textures to it).

I would like to make a note to readers that the procedure for creating this piece is by no means something I usually resort to when creating a sculpture. Due to said procedure, I had the idea that it would be more interesting/entertaining to present the final result (the physical piece) first, and have the audience interact with it and savour its many inviting textures, and afterwards present the video of myself creating the piece. This was merely a way of presenting it, not that I think it takes substantial part of the art piece itself.

Well, actually it is the same video, only I liked the final edit better (Pearl Beam I) because it has an AWESOME track named "Zuffer" by Dj Hvad which he was so nice to let me use. Actually, ever since I first imagined the video, it was with that one song as soundtrack. Yet, I could not bring myself to disposing of the other edit (Pearl Beam II). The track in that second one I remixed for myself. So, I'll post both.

after participating in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Flag Contest for my art to be included in the Show Your Bones album artwork, and being, supposedly, the only latin american who got selected, i read an interview with Yeah Yeah Yeahs' front woman Karen O. in it, Karen was asked whether she would like it if there was a cereal brand named "Karen O's" after her. i can't recall her answer, but after a little while, i sent a sketch of the fictional cereal box to an e-mail i found on the band's official website. the next day, i got an e-mail in which Karen said she was thrilled and asked if she could use the cereal box for the website, please. some time after that i sent them an assembled copy of the box along with a very teenager fan-like letter and some drawings. i hope they got to them all right.
